Could I find a more evocative description of fantasy, transformation and fandom if I tried?

Apparently this is "Childe Harold". From the size of the page, it's like three hundred pages long. What was I doing with myself in college that I never read any of this?

The very next couple lines speak to me too, otaku that I am:
